I am at my favorite spot in the Dog Park, although it is much better when the humans are sitting on the benches. I did not want to ask any humans for permission to post their pictures because I don't ask humans for permission for anything.

Most people are happy to see me up on the table so they can pet me and get kisses from me, although the best humans are the ones who get annoyed and act like I dont belong up on the table; all I need to do is give a little growl and it staightens most of them out like right now. It is a dog park after all, if they did not want to be at a place with me on the table, they should probably go somewhere that I am not at.

As you can see Flash knows his place, only the King should be on the table.

I had the fishy first, Remy had the choice and took some stupid round thing.

He seems to be enjoying himself just fine.

And I am enjoying the fish

I want the Fish now, why oh why didn't I choose the fish. My evening is now ruined.

Well, Remy the big lummox eventually stole the fish and became the most annoying Husky in the world. Our secretary seems to have posted out of order but Wednesday's video was only a portion of the hour plus of non stop squeaking that Remy performed until Dad took the fish away and threw it in the garage.

"It may have been over an hour, I was sitting on the patio watching and listening with amazement as Remy would not stop squeaking that darn fish toy. I know he started just before 6 PM and I finally couldn't take anymore and went in the house to get away about 7 PM. That is when Remy brought the fish into the house and started going to town again and I finaly took it away from him and threw that fish in the garage." DAD

This is the first time we have ever had a toy taken away from us and the only toy we cannot play with in the house.

Way to go Remy.

These photos were taken a few weeks ago. It was about 4 in the afternoon and was a verified 96 degrees in the shade. Dad was sitting in the shade with a thermometer (and a drink).

We were at the dog park early in the morning for a few hours, maybe we were too tired and became disorientated. Dad tried to get us to come in and sleep in the air conditioning but sometimes; you know how it is, you need to be stubborn whatever the cost. It is a matter of principle.

Flash started it so I joined him.

Man it's hot, are you okay Flash ?

I'm starting to melt, come on Flash wake up and lets go inside. I remember the air conditioning felt pretty good.

Last week was time for my physical which I hate, but I do like going to the Vet's office and seeing all the people who admire me. The first thing we had to do was stand on some platform that had a display with some digital numbers somewhere on it. I hate standing still, especially on something that the humans want me to stand still on so I put up a real fight.

After the technician was satisfied that she and Dad had me as still as I was ever going to get they gave up and she wrote something on a piece of paper and we went on to the next room and waited for the vet to do the physical and give me my shots. I was not a happy puppy at this time.

The vet entered the room and did not look too happy ( I thought she was just jealous that she was'nt as cool as me) and started to talk to Dad in some words I did not listen to and then Dad asked, you mean Remy is Phat? My ears perked up to listen to the the Vet's response, knowing that many great things were going to be said about me. The Vet nodded and then said yes, Remy is overweight and needs to lose some pounds.

What is going on here, I went from being Phat to fat in a matter of minutes. I think the DR. is wrong, I am just big boned, have too much fur and did not stand on the scale correctly. So what that I steal ALL of Flash's Happy Hearts cookies when Dad is not looking, get a grilled beef rib bone every week, get a handful of cookies at bed time and in the morning and steal more of Flash's cookies when Dad gives us each an assortment when he leaves for work in the morning. Dad gives me and Flash the exact same amount of food and treats but I guess I wind up with more.

I am PHAT, cool, hip groovy, amazing and King of all I see; I am not FAT.

Well, maybe I could stand to lose a few L B S but the Vet needs to remember my teeth and paws are much bigger than Flash's, not a threat; just a fact.

Remy ....... who is sorry for the bad joke, sitting around the house (sorry Ammy).

Nobody better interfere with my cookies or they may lose a hand, a house or I may join the circus.

Hoosky Round Up

We got to meet our cousins and Remy's sister at the Husky Round Up.

Some of our breeders customers and our breeder, Counts Cove Kennels organized the Round Up at a park with picnic tables, lots of trees, barbecues and a 2 acre dog park in Dana Point CA.

There were 72 Huskies and 133 people who attended and for about 4 hours it was Husky Heaven; we all pretty much got along. It was awesome seeing 72 Huskies in an enclosed area playing, running, wrestling, splashing in the water bowls and doing lots of Husky activities.

Remy's sister was there; she looked exactly like Remy, woolly, same markings, exact same size and sometimes no one could tell them apart. It was kind of scary to think that there were two Remy's in the world, except she was nice and well behaved.

We had a perfect night for grilling and taking careful consideration of the FDA's warning regarding bones, we decided to ignore the government agency, live dangerously and enjoy our treats. As always, we directed the cook to prepare our meal rare, with just a light sear and plenty of cooling time. We are curious why the cook cools our bones in the microwave; maybe he doesn't want us surfing before we eat.

Num, Num, Num.... just the way I like em.

I really like my bone, no one better get too close.

Uh Oh, just about gone, maybe some leftovers landed on my paw.

I still have some left because I savor my meat, and don't wolf everything down like Remy.

I Messed Up My Post

My dad had this great idea of chronicling my trip to the groomers, big mistake. He thought he could trick me by making me think we were going on an adventure alone, without Flash, does he think I am stupid? The only places I go alone are to the Vet and to the groomer and I do not forget.

Okay, you have one leash; should that excite me? You may also want to wash the floors, you know Flash and I don't pay attention to the floor mat that says "WIPE YOUR PAWS"

I am a little excited at the door, Flash thinks he can talk Dad into taking him too. I am not feeling real good about what is in store for me.

I am in the truck ready to roll, no Flash. Uh Oh !!!!

Here is where the post falls apart, Dad thought he was going to get pictures of me happily walkiing into the groomers like a conquering hero, wrong. When we pulled up at the groomers I did get out of the truck as I wanted everyone to see and admire me (I even left some mail) and I did walk calmly into the groomers but as soon as dad came in behind me I made a U-turn and headed to the door, and not just straight out but out backwards, I was trying to back out of my collar. This is not my walking leash and collar, it was loose so Dad had to run after me making sure there was no tension on the leash otherwise he would be standing there with my leash and collar and no me, I would be gone in 60 seconds. We must have been 50 feet into the parking lot before he was able to grab me, I made a commotion Woo Hoo. There is a very busy street next to the parking lot so I could see alot of fear and tension in Dad's face.... serves him right.

Unfortunatly for me I was caught and Dad, even though he is getting old was able to pick me up and carry me into the groomers. The only good thing is that I know everyone was laughing at Dad and admiring my tenacity ...... and he was unable to take any pictures of me going into this torture.

I am not happy about my bath but at least I am home, sometimes it is not cool being a Wooly Siberian. Flash at least gets his baths at home.

Sorry I would not allow Dad to take pictures but it is bad enough going to the groomers, I will not allow it to go easy for him.

My Cousin Whiskey the Malamute and me.

A couple weeks ago Remy and I went to visit the Grandparents out in the desert before it got too hot. Dads sister who lives out there came over too and brought our cousin Whiskey the Mala-mutt (ha ha) so we could all play.

We did not co-operate with the flashy beast this trip so this is about the only picture Dad got of us. If you look in the upper left hand corner next to the shed you can see Remy's tail and pantaloons. He is looking for a cat who is not his friend.

When Remy was 9 months old (before I came into their lives) Dad brought him out for a visit at Christmas. Remy was let loose in the yard, found a trespassing cat within 30 seconds of being off his leash and had it in his jaws. Dad was able to chase down Remy, tackle him and pry his jaws open and release the cat. Dad was all scratched up from the cat and Remy even bit him. Unfortunatly their are no pictures or any other evidence other than Dads scars. I am sorry I missed that, I am not sure if I would have helped Remy or Dad.

After the cat escaped Remy's Jaws of Death it immediatly ran behind the shed until they could get Remy inside the house; the cat finally came out from behind the shed with some gentle poking with a rake ....handle by Whiskey's Dad, (the cat was given some time to calm down before the poking started). The cat was fine and ran away as fast as it could get out of the Grandparents yard. The Grandparents reported seeing the cat many times after this episode in the neighborhood acting normally for a cat (whatever that is) but never again trespassing in their back yard.

New Sod - November 2009 - Digging it up ---- Priceless

For anyone concerned about me and Flash digging out and escaping there are 2 foot long 3/8 in. dia rebars driven into the ground below every fence bar (about every 6 inches) along our whole perimeter. Dad is threatining cement if we show any inclination to dig out ....... so far we have not tried to dig to escape, we just dig to annoy Dad ...... and boy does he get annoyed.

What does he expect, we are just Siberians being Siberian .... and he buried some of our bones with the new sod, we need to get them back.

Saturday was my birthday, and we had a great day. First Dad took me and Flash to the Dog Park for 3 hours. I am the King of the Dog Park; most of the people and all of the kids love me and the other dogs bow when I come to play. My Dad respected my birthday wish of no soul takers at the park on my birthday but this is what I looked like after being home for 15 minutes.

Its tough to be the King.

After I had a chance to rest it was time for some of my bithday surprizes, WOO HOO !!!!!

I am getting to work on MY cookie, turn the camera off Dad or Else. Notice the white tufts around me? Flash is moulting and I knocked those off of him while we were wrestling.

I did share with Flash, he decided to wait to eat his cookie until I was done with mine; respect.

We had many more cookies during the afternoon and played with lots of stuffies and bugged Dad because he had to be nice to me on my Birthday. As the day turned into night the BBQ was turned on and we knew what we were in store for.

Birthday Dinner.

By the time we were served it was dark outside and we are not allowed to bring our bones inside, grumble, grumble, grumble; so no pictures but I bet you can use your imagination as what two Huskies devouring their bones look like. They were very lightly seared on the BBQ just how we liked them (The bones are not cooked, the meat is only slightly seared).I finished mine first as usual but Flash would not let me take his to finish, so I WOO'd and WOO'd until Dad came out and told me to be quiet. No Respect.

After dinner we went for a nice long walkie, we saw a bunch of Rabbits but Dad would not let us off our leash to chase, not even on my Birthday. That guy has no sense on how to treat the birthday boy. I would have looked both ways before crossing the street, stopped for cars and come back to him the second he called for me, I promise.

Here are some pictures of me at four months old, I am a very good Siberian in training; I can tell by my Dad's reactions to all of my antics. I also have to remind him my name is Remy and not NO !!!!!! I will be four years old next week and Dad still forgets my name sometimes and I have to remind him that NO !!!!!! has no meaning in this house. I hope he will eventually learn.

Jumpin Jack Flash Is A Gas Gas Gas

Woo Woo, Flash here to introduce myself. You may recognize the first photo, that is my Dad Tonto, me and Remy are 1/2 brothers. The pretty lady in white is my Mom, Avalanche. Then in chronological order is me at 1 week, 4 weeks, 7 weeks and 8 weeks.

My Dad picked me when I was 6 months old at Christmas 2007; he says it was because I was on sale although I know the real reason is that I am so cute, and at 6 months old when I came home; I was more of an equal to Remy, who needed a doggie partner and someone to wrestle with besides Dad.

Now that I have introduced myself, we will begin moving forward in our blogging pretty soon; I know Remy wants to show some more pictures of him when he was young, before I got here, ..... yawn...... so we will all have to deal with that for a few more posts ....... (don't tell him I yawned he is pretty sensitive).

Here I am on my first day at MY new house in May 2006 letting Dad know not to mess with me, that I could do to him and his furniture what I am doing to this leaf.

Flash is still trying to figure out how to manage his puppy photos and until he does, I will keep posting about me. I was here for a year and seven months before he joined me so I do have some content I can share of life before Flash.

Flash joined me in December of 2007 when he was six months old. He was a late bloomer and I got to teach him lots and lots of things and let him know the order in the house. I am the boss, Flash and Dad have to fight for themselves who comes next.

Greetings all, we are new to this blogging, so me (Remy) Flash and my dad are going to give it a go. I will probabaly be the main voice as I am the most Sycho of the Siberians in this house. Flash is very well behaved, a little too well behaved if you ask me, and my dad .......... I put up with him as long as he does what I tell him to do, gives me and Flash treats (mainly me.. Flash is on his own) and loads us in the truck to take us to cool places and adventures.

This is my Dad and Mom, on the left is Dad, Tonto and on the right Mom, Powder.

Next I will show you some pictures of me before my Dad brought me home.

The first picture is me at one week, the second picture is me at four weeks and the last picture is me at six weeks. Six weeks is the point that my Dad decided to come meet me and bring me to MY house when I was eight weeks old. He could see the look in my eyes that I was trouble but he took me anyway; so everything that I have done and everythinig that has happened is his own fault.

Our next post Flash will introduce himself and then we should be off and running, mushing and being Siberians, hopefully some of what we do will be entertaining. Well, everything Flash and I do is entertaining, whether our Dad can help us convey that is another issue for another day.
