New Sod - November 2009 - Digging it up ---- Priceless
For anyone concerned about me and Flash digging out and escaping there are 2 foot long 3/8 in. dia rebars driven into the ground below every fence bar (about every 6 inches) along our whole perimeter. Dad is threatining cement if we show any inclination to dig out ....... so far we have not tried to dig to escape, we just dig to annoy Dad ...... and boy does he get annoyed.
What does he expect, we are just Siberians being Siberian .... and he buried some of our bones with the new sod, we need to get them back.
Wooos Remy! I like woo hole digging skills. I know Mum created such a barrier below our fence that I would have to get a terrier to help me dig out now!

Let me know when you get to China. :)
We had some new sod put in last fall too - right at the bottom of our deck stairs - and now - DEAD as DEAD can be.
About the fence, when we first moved to Kansas from the East coast, the humans were worried Dakota and Phantom would dig out too because they had been in a concrete run and now just in the grassy yard. So they ran an invisible fence three feet inside the perimeter of the fence and trained them. This way if they broke through the invisible fence, they would not stay near the real fence long because of the zapping. Didn't take long for them to figure it out, and of course, with time, they convinced the humans they weren't going to dig out. Now with the new little one, we may have to do some retraining:(
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
We got new sod last August. There are only a few holes in it but that is because Mom polices us like crazy! We dug out once and now the electric fence is back up. Mom says your solution is much more attractive.
I can dig it! HEe hee hee!
